Valor Oil continues to expand its Hop Shops brand of convenient stores by purchasing Jumpin’ Jack’s Travel Plaza in Lewisport, KY. Valor Oil officially took ownership of the property on February 20, 2024.

The travel plaza is located on the portion of the land at the intersection of U.S. 60 and KY 657 in Lewisport. The main building on the property houses a gas station, convenience store, restaurant, and bank.

With the completion of this sale, Valor Oil now operates 15 Hop Shops locations throughout Kentucky and Ohio. The Lewisport location is the second of three planned Hop Shops coming to the Owensboro area – with the first location being the HawesWay 60 Travel Plaza purchased by Valor Oil in 2023. The third location is expected to be finalized in 2024 and will be in Reo, IN.

Hop Shops have rapidly grown in popularity due in part to their “World Famous Disco Bathrooms” that have become a viral sensation on social media, garnering 175M+ views on TikTok and Instagram worldwide. They have gained further notoriety by being featured on Late Night with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, and the BOB & TOM Show.
