Valor Oil’s HOP Shops Located in Ft. Mitchell Kentucky is Closing February 28th

Valor Oil has sold the HOP Shop property located at 2392 Royal Drive, Ft. Mitchell, KY.  The last day the store will be open to the public is February 28th, 2021. Our employees will transfer to other HOP Shops.  We have a great work family at that location, so we are glad we are able to keep them working in our other stores and for Valor Oil.  They have been letting the regular customers know about the changes and some say they live in Florence, so they will be changing their routine to make sure to stop at those Florence…

HOP Shops New Look Unveiled

Valor Oil’s convenience store chain HOP Shops has revealed it is investing in the brand to keep the stores fresh and inviting.   Director of Store Operations, Tim Dupin says, “We’re investing in becoming better retailers.  We want people to enjoy the new look and feel.” The goal is to remodel all 13 stores in the next five years. Valor Oil has acquired a Marathon station located at 6391 Reading Rd, Mason, Ohio. Tim Dupin, Director of Store Operations stated, “We are looking forward to have the opportunity to serve the Mason community. We are building the Valor Way, which will function at the most efficient of operations. Two incentive plans are now in place for HOP Shops employees

The “FIPS” (Family, Integrity, Profitability, and Safety) Incentive is for all active‐regular full‐time employees. The Emmick family sets an allocated amount for the Bonus Pool. The amount is a percentage of net income. The bonus pool gets divided to each employee weighted by income and years of service.  The FIPS Incentive will be paid out every year before Black Friday. The “Years of Service” Incentive for full time HOP Shops employees has been increased. This incentive now pays $100/year on every 5-year anniversary. It is paid out in the first 2 weeks of December.
