Thank You to Our Boone County KY Community Heroes!

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and service of our local first responders, Deputy Justin Mosley and Walton Fire Department’s Deborah Stetter. Their stories inspire us and remind us of the true meaning of community spirit.

Boone County Sheriff’s Deputy: Justin Mosley

Deputy Justin Mosley of Boone County Sheriff’s Department shared his motivation for becoming an officer, citing a deep-seated desire to help people as his primary inspiration. He emphasized the importance of kindness and respect in the community, stating, “My message to the community is to just be kind and respectful.”

Walton Fire Department: Deborah Stetter

Deborah Stetter, a dedicated firefighter with the Walton Fire Department, comes from a long line of firefighters, with her father and other family members serving as her inspiration. She is passionate about her involvement with Walton High School, particularly with the DARE program and the annual mock drunk driving simulator event. Her message to the community is clear: “Stay away from drugs, and motorcyclists, please wear a helmet.”

Deborah also recalled assisting Mary Moss, our Walton Store Manager, at the Boone County Fair last year when she became overheated. Her advice is to “drink plenty of water.” She also inquired if we would be setting up at the fair again this year.

Thank you, Justin and Deborah, for all that you do. Your dedication and passion make our community a better place every day. We are honored to have you as our local heroes.
