HOP Shops Raised $1245.72 for Special Olympics Northern Kentucky in Memory of Former Employee Eric Klette

Tim Dupin, HOP Shops Director of Store Operations, and Mary Moss, Florence HOP Shop Store Manager, present a check for $1245.72 to Mark Struck and Eric Klette’s Team for Special Olympics of NKY

We want to give a big THANK YOU  to our Guests and Team Members for donating by “Rounding Up” their change on transactions at the store.  The donations raised in the month of June were for Special Olympics Northern Kentucky (SONKY).  It was in memory of former employee Eric Klette who recently passed away unexpectedly.  Eric not only worked for us, but he was also a coach and team player with SONKY.  Tim Dupin said, “One of our Core Values is Family, and this is what you do for Family”.

Eric was a part of the leadership that got involved with all the different sports.  So it made sense to donate to this wonderful organization who help so many others.  The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
